OpenNCC Accelerator Card is an open accelerated AI reference platform designed and manufactured by EyeCloud.AI for edge-ai applications, a production solution to replace intel's Neural Compute Stick2 (NCS2).
The Accelerator Card is built with Movidius Myriad X VPU, Intel's first VPU to feature the Neural Compute Engine - a dedicated hardware accelerator for deep neural network inference. The Neural Compute Engine in conjunction with the 16 powerful SHAVE cores and high throughput intelligent memory fabric makes Intel Movidius Myriad X ideal for on-device deep neural networks and computer vision applications. The natively supported Intel® distribution of the OpenVINO™ toolkit automatically maximizes the inference performance.
Variants
The USB Version is designed as a tiny PCBA of 1.5"x1.5'' (38mmx38mm) dimension with USB Type-C connectivity to make it easy to develop in the POC(proof of concept) stage.
The FPC Version is designed as a tiny PCBA of 1.5"x1.5'' (38mmx38mm) dimension with FPC connectivity to make it flexible for product integration, especially for edge-ai products that have tiny shape designs.
Overall, both variants are good choices for edge-ai product POC and integration, especially those that have been tested with Intel NCS/NCS2 and seeking a replacement for Mass Production.

Accelerator Card in Co-processing Compute Stick Mode can be worked with OpenVINO (2020.3,2021.4 Version) as an Intel NCS2 replacement, and support Arm Linux SoC or Raspberry Pi boards.
